Surprisingly little known fact: Beavers are very musically inclined, and this plays out a number of ways in their society. Mating rituals can be drawn out and as complex as in human society. The bugle call comes into play to signal the beginning of the second phase of courtship, sometime just after meeting the female beaver’s parents.
