Carpentry skills have long been associated with beavers, and their skills for building wooden dams are legendary, but beavers are also skilled masons. It is a little known fact that the engineering team that constructed the Hoover Dam subcontracted a fair portion of the work to beavers. If you look closely in the bottom right corner of the dam structure, you’ll see a little beaver paw print embedded in the concrete.
